Unit Trust of Fiji (UTOF) enlists two more Employers
Unit Trust of Fiji ( UTOF) has enlisted two more Employers in its national workforce investment programme, the Employee Investment Scheme “EIS”
UTOF is pleased to announce, Mechanical Services Fiji Limited and Refrigeration Electrical Services PTE Limited have joined forces with UTOF in the advocacy and financial empowerment of its 180 employees.
The inclusion of these two companies brings the total of Employers to 47 under the EIS programme. The EIS will essentially provide a platform for employees to regularly invest their funds through a salary direct deduction arrangement. Mechanical Services Managing Director MShiv Nand Sharma said the financial well being of their workers are fundamental to the vision of the company.
He added through this incentive UTOF would play an important role in directly empowering its workers to save and invest.
The benefits including the competitive tax-free returns provided with the programme will benefit the employees greatly.
UTOF will assist the workers in guiding and matching individual investment goals with our personalised investment plans. The EIS is voluntary whereby the UTOF team’s main objectives are to promote and inculcate the culture of savings and investment in the workforce.
UTOF’s chief executive officer, Vilash Chand said the interests from Employers have been very encouraging.
He commended Mr Sharma, his dedicated Board Directors, Management, and staff for partnering with UTOF and sharing our national vision in empowering the Fijian workforce to save and invest for their future.
Under the Agreement, the employees will be investing without any associated transaction fees and charges with the ultimate objective to optimise their return on investments. UTOF has an invest
ment portfolio in excess $240 million with a strong investor base of 22,760 including more than 4,753 young investors from various
schools.
It is one of the major investment institutions in Fiji’s Capital Market with a market share of more
