The Kamal Swamy- coached Nadi Football side have again partnered with major sponsorship Esy Kool as they prepare to defend the Vodafone Fiji FACT title. Esy Kool came onboard to support Nadi during their 2020 Courts Interdistrict Championship campaign.

The Australian-based air conditioning company, has reconfirmed their support, says a senior official yesterday.

Nadi Football Association vice president/director administration, Mohammed Mohin, said they were grateful to the company’s managing director and founder Eswa Nadan.

“It is a major boost, however we cannot disclose the sponsorship but it augurs well in our campaign,” Mohin said. Nadan, a former Nadi striker in the 1980s, was well known for his speed and deadly strikes. This earned him the nickname, ‘Ninja’.

He is also the current chief executive of the Australian United Fiji Football Incorporation. Moving to Australia, did not stop Nadan from supporting Nadi Football. In Sydney, he is the founder of Nadi Veterans and also looked after the Nadi all age group football teams.

“This is the way to give back to the district that moulded me and gave me a grand football experience,” he said.

“It is time to be with Nadi, especially when they need help.”

Mohin said they are on track as defending champions and would be out to restore lost pride after they failed to secure a top two finish in the Vodafone Premier League. “We have a week to get ourselves organised as the competition will be tough and we will play Lautoka first,” he said. “We need a win to get three points before the second round kicks off in Labasa.”

He said players have also been told that they would need to earn their spot in the team.

“It all comes down to discipline during training and we are working together to ensure that we have a strong team,” Mohin added.
