Tuivuna wins Ba’s Pro-Am comp

Suva’s Tomasi Tuivuna took out the profession­al grade of the General Machinery and Motors sponsored- Ba season opener at the Rarawai Golf Club in Ba over the weekend.

Natadola Club’s Sam Lee settled for second spot while Denarau Golf Racquet Club manager Amitesh Chandra came in third followed by Roneel Prakash in fourth position.

In the amateurs, Asish Chand shot par 72 overall to claim top prize while accountant Ravinesh Chaudhary scored 65 to claim the net prize.

Ba Golf Club vice-captain Rohit Chandra said: “The members are very grateful to Alvin Singh and his team from GM for the wonderful sponsorshi­p.

“The event is one which most golfers look forward to at the Ba Golf Club, and it attracted around 70 players this time around.

“The executives of the club are expecting more than a hundred players in 2021 with overwhelmi­ng support from General Machinery and Motors.”

The event was also supported by P Meghji, Long Run (Fiji) and Rooster Poultry.
