State House carpark

Ishwari Prasad, Nausori

I believe that having a well-planned raised and sheltered carpark at the State House is essential.

Such a carpark will be beneficial, especially for the elderly and those who use a wheelchair.

Occasionally, there are other important functions at the State House as well so, it would be comfortable to all those attending any function even if the weather is unfavourable.

The British Government gained from Fiji (like from its other colonies during the colonial days) in various ways. Hence, with utmost respect, I sincerely hope the British Government would not hesitate in coming forward and fund the project.

No doubt, this gesture would further cement our renowned relationship with Great Britain.

Change Bhagwanji Bhindi,

Suva

Life’s constant factor is constant change. Yesterday changed into today and today is expected to change into tomorrow, bringing with it some enjoyment and some sorrow.

Change is complicated, challenging and complex causing many to wonder what will happen next. Change in thoughts leads to change without a doubt and change in action leads to rewards with fortunes and success. Willing to change is accepting the numerous opportunities presented because life expects changes offering many possibilities.

Licensed electrical contractors Labasa

Sukha Singh,

For safety reasons, Energy Fiji Limited (EFL) wants all electrical installations to be done by licensed contractors. Some of these so-called licensed contractors have only one fully qualified licensed electrician, who may be the owner also of the contracting business. Most of the jobs done during an installation may be done by a non-licensed, unqualified electrician.

Before any electrical installation is connected to the EFL grid, an electrical inspector has to inspect the installation and see that it is done according to the SAA wiring rules.

So Mr Patel, it really doesn’t make much difference who has done the job. Besides, you have also brought in so many requirements to become a licensed electrical contractor.
