ABUSING POWER

-

Some managers in Labasa are taking advantage of their positions.

One particular manager goes missing from work for long hours.

He instructs his staff to complete the work before going home and informs them that he is going to have meetings with clients.

Instead he was seen watching the Vodafone Fiji FACT games at Subrail Park. Meanwhile, another manager of a wellknown Suvabased company takes four hour lunch breaks and was also later seen at the park.

Superiors of companies should keep a track of their employers including managers.

FNPF PAYMENTS

BTL was shocked to overhear people asking whether FNPF will authorise another phase of payment in time for the Christmas holidays and New Year. Seems like people are becoming too dependent on their superannuation fund they have forgotten the real purpose it was set up for.

SODELPA AGM

The SODELPA AGM attracted a lot of interest since Friday. Members of the media turned up in numbers as early as 8am to cover the meeting only to be locked out of the premises and told to wait for the 3pm press conference.

The intriguing bit is that after all that commotion to keep the media out of the venue, the meeting was streamed live on the party’s Facebook page.

SELFIES

A hotel worker who was working at the SODELPA AGM in Suva was instructed to switch off her mobile phone and refrain from taking photos inside the venue.

Out of excitement in the presence of renowned Opposition MPs she started taking selfies with them only to be approached by certain members to stop taking pictures.
