Boost for St Anne’s

- FONUA TALEI SUVA fonua.talei@fijisun.com.fj

Students and staff members of Suva’s St Anne’s Primary School will get two new classroom blocks, furniture and washroom facilities thanks to the Government of Japan.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the grant worth $235,538 was done yesterday in the presence of Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan Mizutani Masataka.

The project, which was formalised last year, is funded by the Government of Japan under the Grassroots Human Security Program.

The buildings are cyclone-resilient and its existence will also address the pressure on school resourses placed by increasing enrollments.

The construction is expected to be completed within six months. Edited by Ranoba Baoa
