Jazz on New Year’s Eve at Shenanigans
Jazz lovers are in for a night of fun and entertainment on New Year’s Eve. The Fiji Jazz Society is hosting Jazz and Blues night in the capital’s popular pub, Shenanigans Tavern.
The even starts at 4pm and tickets are selling at $40 each.
Interim president of the Fiji Jazz Society Darlene Underwood said Fiji and the Pacific’s Jazz maestro Tom Mawi will open the show. “This event is a lead up to the
Fiji Jazz Society’s affiliation to the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, based in New York, USA,” she said.
The Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz is a non-profit education organisation with a mission to offer music education programmes for young people around the world.” Fiji Jazz Society interim committee members are:Isireli Vulaca (Secretary General), Jerry Vatuwaqa (Committee Member), Conrad Kwan (Committee Member).
