“Te started off with Brumbies as a young boy until he became a senior player at the Brumbies.

“He needed a change of environment and attitude with new people, new teammates and coach to start a new journey in his rugby career.

“I appreciate all he has done and I know this new club will motivate him to do better,” his father added. Posted on his Facebook page, Jone Baledrokadroka said: “Enjoyed the rugby camaraderie at the Brumbies Kava Club in farewelling former Brumbies and Wallaby K train Tevita Kuridrani bound for the Perth based Western Force next season.

“Tevita’s rugby talent nurtured from Lelean Memorial School has seen him make 60 appearances for the Green and Gold. Many of Te’s great tries were the subject of our grog session banter and retold Fiji style with lots of ‘baking powder’ added. Thanks for the memories turaga Naita Te,” his post added. Kuridrani indicated his move in an Instagram post:“I am officially leaving the Brumbies, at the end of what has been a great season in one of the world’s most challenging times.

“Thank you so much @brumbiesrugby for the 9 years. Thank you for everything that you have made possible for me and my family. I came to the Brumbies almost 10 years ago as a very young boy, curious to see where rugby would take me but today I can confidently say, that I am a better person, a better brother, a better uncle and a better rugby player because of the rich experiences and valuable life lessons I’ve gained through this journey.”
