12 Winners Share $40K

Winners of the Fuel up with Total Fiji Limited and Coca- Cola Amatil Fiji Limited joint promotion were given their cheques yesterday at the Total Fiji Limited headquarte­rs at Walu Bay, Suva. The promotion was launched on August 17 and concluded on November 15, 2020.

Customers participat­ed in the promotion by spending minimum of $20 or more on Total Excellium unleaded or Total Excellium diesel and purchasing any Coca-Cola range of drinks from participat­ing Total service stations.

There were two winners who won the major prize of $20,000 and $10,000, while the rest of the ten winners won $1000 each.

Enthusiasm

Total Fiji Limited marketing and communicat­ions manager, Ragini Parekh, said: “Total Fiji and Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji Limited were pleased to present the cheques to their winners for this joint promotion “Mohammed Aiyaz who is the first winner of $20,000, and Maleli Kolinivale who is the second winner of $10,000, were very delighted with the timely cheque presentati­on,is indeed a blessing for the new year, she said.

Ms Parekh said they were surprised with the enthusiasm shown from customers who participat­ed in the promotion.

“With this cheque presentati­on the moments of happiness was inspired by all winners, she said. Ms Parekh said as part of Total Fiji’s project to go solar, it had equipped 14 service stations with solar panels.

Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji petroleum manager, Amit Jattan said: “The promotion is something we have been doing for the past years.”

Mr Jattan said awarding customers with cash prize money was crucial, as families had gone through a lot this year with the global COVID-19 pandemic and Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

“We had planned this cheque handover before the Tropical Cyclone Yasa,” he said.

“It is something that we would want to use to thank our customers for purchasing Coca-Cola products, and Total Fiji Limited Excellium lubricants.”

Meanwhile, major prize winner, Mohammed Aiyaz, said he was surprised to find he had won $20,000 cash.

“I felt really happy when the Total Fiji marketing manager, Ragini Parekh, had called to say that my name was selected as a winner for this promotion,”Mr Aiyaz said. Mr Aiyaz said he will be using the money to renovate his house located at Navakai in Nadi.

Another winner, William Francis of Lawaki settlement in Lautoka said it was not the first time he has participat­ed in the promotion from Total Fiji Limited and Coca- Cola Amatil Fiji Limited.

“When I had received the call, I felt so excited . “I would like to thank the Lord Almighty for showering his blessings upon me,” he said.

The 56-year-old had fuelled up his vehicle at the Total Fiji Limited service station in Saweni, Lautoka, during the period of the promotion. Mr Francis said he would spend the money on food for children who lived on the streets of Lautoka.

He thanked the support from Total Fiji Limited and Coca-Cola Amatil for organising a promotion for the benefit of its customers.
