Pent up demand

Vomo Island Fiji said there was a proven pent up demand for residence bookings for 2021 and 2022, since the pandemic.

The resort expects to welcome guests back as soon as possible. During the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the island resort retained its staff, as the Vomo owners made a commitment to protect jobs and ensure their employees received some income during the closure time.

That was, despite the resort having no income, the resort said in response to queries from SunBiz. During the closure, work continued on two residences on Vomo’s Yasawa beachfront.

Two residences

The two residences will be available for guests to rent once borders open, the resort said.

The two residences are The Reef House and Talei Taki.

Director of sales and marketing, Karen Marvell, said the local builders were able to work during the the closure of the resort, by getting the luxury homes close to completion.

Ms Marvell said holiday makers were missing spending time with their families and want to travel together.

The Reef House

The Reef House is a five bedroom new residence, within the precinct of the resort.

Spanning 100 metres of beachfront on the northern shore overlooking the Yasawa Islands, The Reef House is Vomo’s largest and newest of the island’s private residence collection.

According to Ms Marvell: “The five bedroom masterpiece is indisputably Fiji’s most architecturally advanced and luxurious residence that takes the best advantage of sun, shade, breeze and of course, stunning ocean vistas.”

The main complex is a long house divided by glass, with living, dining, kitchen, back-of-house functions and an expansive covered outdoor event space.

Its features include flowing to entertainment decks that overlook the 25 metre charcoal tiled infinity swimming pool.

At one end of the residence are four bedrooms.

Each bedroom has its separate entry, ensuite bathrooms and walk in dressing room and wardrobe.

At the eastern end of the complex sits the fifth bedroom.

It is a self contained free standing dwelling with ensuite bathroom, for use as spa room or additional guest room.

The expansive residence can accommodate up to 10 people of any age.

Ms Marvell said: “The generous proportions and brilliant design of this contemporary masterpiece will surely lend itself to becoming an icon in the Pacific.”

Talei Taki

A brand new four bedroom master piece, Talei Taki residence is set on a generous north facing beach frontage.

The spacious bedrooms feature king or twin beds, with generous ensuite bathrooms.

Three of the bedrooms feature an outdoor bathroom courtyard for the ultimate bathing experience under a canopy of stars.
