- Edited by Jonathan Bryce

The Magistrates Court in Suva will deliver judgment in the case of Opposition Parliamentarian, Niko Nawaikula’s traffic case, next month.

This is in the case of Nawaikula where he faces charges of careless driving and failure to comply with requirements following an accident. He appeared before Magistrate Waleen George at the Magistrates Court in Suva yesterday.

Nawaikula allegedly hit a vehicle along Ratu Mara Road in Nabua on May 31, 2018. It is also alleged that on the same day after the accident, Nawaikula allegedly fled and failed to check for damage to the complainant’s vehicle.

Magistrate George said the judgment was not ready and adjourned the matter for judgment to February 22.
