Taiwan hospitals ban visitors after COVID-19 cluster

Taipei: Hospitals in three cities of northern Taiwan will ban visitors from Wednesday to February 9, in the wake of a COVID-19 cluster, the local epidemic monitoring agency said.

The policy will apply to all the hospitals in Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan, the agency said at a press briefing. It added that each inpatient at these hospitals would be allowed to have only one person attending to them.

The city of Tainan also announced that its hospitals would ban visitors from to February 28.
