FNU Plans to Offer Graphics Diploma Programme Soon
Currently, FNU offers a Level IV Certificate qualification in Graphic Arts and Graphic Designs that is equivalent to a trade certificate.
The Fiji National University (FNU) is in the process of developing a Graphics Diploma programme. FNU expects to have this offered as soon as possible.
Currently, FNU offers a Level IV Certificate qualification in Graphic Arts and Graphic Designs that is equivalent to a trade certificate.
Graphic Arts and Design programme coordinator, Joseph Lavulo, says the Level IV Certificate is a one-year programme with two semesters and three months industrial work attachment.
The FNU Graphics programme comes under the Department of Creative Arts of the School of Arts and Humanities and the College of Humanities and Education.
Mr Lavulo said the Certificate in Graphic Arts and Graphic Design (Level IV) training programme aims to impart relevant skill sets, that is significant, and in line with the moving trends of the commercial Graphic Art and Design industry. Additionally, he said this programme prepared learners above the primary standards of modern Graphic Art and Design competencies.
This is by also providing the compulsory confidence, and training that enables participants the poise, to establish entrepreneurial commercial ventures, in their ingenious field of choice. Mr Lavulo said the programme acknowledges the artistic talents of participants and encourages the development of individuals.
Mr Lavulo said after the completion of the programme students would graduate with a Certificate in Graphic Arts and Graphic Design (Level IV).
