‘Spending money on security cameras is money well spent’

We also have solar CCTV cameras which we have provided the Ministry of Waterways to be used in their anti-litter campaign. These cameras work 24/7, they can run over night and record vehicles and or persons littering in that particular area.

CCTV cameras can be expensive, but they are money well spent says Information Technology (IT) solutions provider Fiji Traders sales and marketing director Azel Raj.

“These cameras put robbers away. Homes and properties that have CCTV cameras mounted on walls can capture images that can be used as evidence later,” Mr Raj said.

“Imagined if you had invested more than $1000 in upgrading a fancy house and then somebody breaks in and damages your property without you knowing. You won’t have the evidence to claim insurance. But if you have surveillance cameras installed, you would have a better chance of getting your items back or help locate the perpetrators from the footage captured in the camera system,” he said.

“It is very important for people to start thinking about installing CCTV cameras for their family’s safety,” he said.

Fiji Traders with eight branches across Fiji ensures that their customers have the best security products.

With its headquarters in Samabula, Suva, Mr Raj said it was important for people to invest their money into CCTV cameras because they save time should an emergency occur.

Fiji Traders offers a wide range of CCTV cameras like the eight channel and four channel cameras; these are in demand now.

“We also have solar CCTV cameras which we have provided the Ministry of Waterways to be used in their anti-litter campaign. These cameras work 24/7, they can run over night and record vehicles and or persons littering in that particular area,” he said.

After service

Mr Raj said they also provide after services to customers especially before and after a natural disaster.

“If there is a cyclone coming, to protect the camera products, we offer isolation services whereby we move the cameras to a safe storage area until the cyclone passes then we re-install them at the property,” he said.

The company employs more than 20 people.
