Be grateful

-

Amrit Singh, Nausori

It is high time we all start appreciating our frontline workers. They have abandoned their families and are on high alert due to COVID-19 here at home. Be grateful because in places like India, doctors get only six hours to cremate their loved ones and they have to return back to hospital. This is the reality of the world right now.

Some Fijians can only talk on social media, but have never done anything during their entire existence on this world.

Our frontline workers have also abandoned their loved ones for our safety. Stop being complacent and follow the rules as directed to you by the MOH.

I salute the health workers, frontline workers, cleaners, farmers and all those who are our shield for this fight against COVID-19.

For those blaming the Government. Be grateful we have a Government. Some countries like Myanmar is fighting COVID-19 without a Government.

People in Fiji complain they don’t have food, they don’t have money. While some are genuine cases, others are lying. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Before you point fingers at our frontline workers, ask yourselves – what have you done for this nation?

Some have just taken from this nation and never given anything back.

So do the right thing. I hope everyone’s brain is not made from a coconut shell.

COVID-19 will kill anyone. It knows no bounds. It won’t choose between poor or rich. Stay home and stay safe, because your wrong decisions will make everyone else suffer. Stop being selfish Fijians.
