Last week we talked about the power of prayer and how it can heal our nation from the damage caused by COVID-19. Through this past week, it must have helped us in different ways. It gave us spiritual empowerment which motivates us to do good.

Anything good comes from God. The opposite cones from the adversary or the devil or Satan.

Doing the right thing is a divine attribute. It’s God’s nature.

Doing the wrong thing makes us an enemy to God. That is why, in the context of COVID-19, we will not win the war against this killer virus if we keep doing the wrong things.

The wrong things include breaking the law and rules like staying at home, maintaining your family bubbles, using your CareFIJI app, wearing mask and keeping two metre physical distancing, obeying curfew rules etc.

Doing the right thing means obedience. Obedience is fundamental to all faith groups. It is regarded as the first law of heaven. On it hangs all the other laws. Wouldn’t it be nice to go through the next few days without any arrrest of people defying the curfew or containment rules.

That would be amazing and it would inspire our collective spirit to win this war.

It is only the minority that are not doing the right things.

This can be best addressed in the home in our family time which we seem to have an abundance of. If we are serious about staying safe then we must do the right things. If we fail to this we are in for the long haul in this crisis. That will not be good for us.
