PM JOINS PLAYERS ON RUGBY fiELD AFTER RESTRICTIO­NS EASE

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimaram­a was amongst sports enthusiast­s spotted playing touch rugby at Albert Park, Suva yesterday.

Following his announceme­nt on Sunday night, Government has eased restrictio­ns to allow contact sports to be played.

These include rugby, netball, football, basketball and cricket.

“First day after so many months. Was just great to feel the grass under your feet and the rugby ball in your hands,” Mr Bainimaram­a said after the friendly match.

“You forget everything else in that 90 minutes of touch rugby.”

Further to this, Government has also lifted restrictio­ns on the number of people permitted to gather outdoors.
