Man charged with assaulting cops bailed
David Roland, 37, who was charged with one count of serious assault, was granted bail by the Nadi Magistrate Court yesterday.
Magistrate Nirosha Kannangara heard that the accused allegedly assaulted two Police officers before the video of the alleged incident went viral on social media.
In that video, the two officers were seen pulling Roland even as he tried to explain to them why he was not wearing his face mask properly.
Bail was granted at a $500 bail bond. The case was adjourned to December 14.
