The youngsters of Treasure House Christian Children’s Home got a special treat for Fiji Day when they were visited by Join Hands For Better Fiji, which brought with them a food hamper pack for each child.

Kartika Narayan, the founder of this non-government organisation, said Fiji Day was so special to them which was why they reached out to children of the orphanage.

“We prefer to spend our Fiji Day with the children at Treasure Home,” said the 28-year-old.

“Our team managed to distribute one hamper pack to every child out there.”

Ms Narayan acknowledged the director of the Home, Ulamila Powell, for allowing her team to support their children.

“Join Hands For Better Fiji has been aiding a lot of needy families since 2020 when this COVID-19 pandemic hit Fiji,” she said.

“We receive a lot of calls throughout the day for help and our team does their best to support whomever we can.

“Our team is thankful for all the sponsor’s to support our group in assisting the needy.”
