PM TO OPEN NADROGA/ NAVOSA PROVINCIAL COUNCIL MEETING TODAY

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimaram­a will open the Nadroga/Navosa Provincial Council Meeting today.

The meeting will be at the Nasigatoka Village Hall.

This has been confirmed by the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs liaison officer Alipate Natoba.

Mr Natoba said the programme would start with a traditiona­l welcoming ceremony for the PM.

“Afterwards he will lead a Talanoa session,” Mr Natoba said.

He said the council meeting proper would start off with the confirmati­on of minutes of the 2021 Provincial Council Meeting on March 17, 2021.

“And the financial report of the Provincial Council (Proposed Budget 2022-2023) will be presented,” he said.

“Reports submitted from the committees of the Adi Nadroga. Reports from the committees of those who look after the education or scholarshi­ps of the provincial students will be tabled for discussion.

“Also, the reports will be given from the committees of conservati­on,” he added.
