Solomon Islanders William Komasi and Barrie William Limoki make their debut for the All in One Builders sponsoredNadi football side when they face Lautoka in tonight’s Digicel Premier League clash at Prince Charles Park.

The duo joined fellow countryman Jaygrey Sipakama who is already stamped his mark for the Green Machine.

Komasi, 21, plays defensive midfielder and had featured for Central Coast in the Solomon Islands Premier League. Limoki also came through the Youth ranks.

Interim Nadi FA president Max Chetty said the three players would boost the morale of their young players who are playing alongside them.

“For the first time three Solomon Islanders will play together for Nadi. We know that our fans are eager to watch them play.,” Chetty said.

The team currently have four youth reps of Nikesh Singh, Eneriko Matawalu, Pau Ratu and Pat Varo who plays goalkeeper. He wants to follow the footsteps of his grandfather who is the legendary Nadi and national goalkeeper Savenaca Waqa.

“Some people are asking about our development programme and why are we getting players from outside? We have our development in place and have four youths in the main team. Also we need to be competitive with other teams,” Chetty said.

Nadi are in fourth place in the DPL points table with 12 points, while Lautoka remain in fifth place with nine points as they have a better goal difference over Nadroga.

Lautoka Football head coach Anginesh Prasad said their loss to Ba and Rewa in a space of four days had been a big learning curve for the side.

He did not blame the loss to the team’s fatigue but instead said it was lack of concentration from the players.

Meanwhile, the other DPL clash sees Labasa host Lautoka at Subrail Park on Saturday at 1.30pm
