‘We will lead with respect’

Rishikul Primary School head prefects say they will lead with respect. The school yesterday badged 72 young leaders.

Head boy, Prashant Chand, 13, thanked his family for motivating him to pursue the qualities of a leader.

“I feel very happy and excited,” he said with a big smile.

“I will lead with respect.

“My previous leaders were also very respectful and they managed their time wisely, I will follow their footsteps.”

The 13-year-old said his inspiratio­n was Albert Einstein.

Head girl, Smaira Chand said she was ready to fulfil her role.

“A leader should always be responsibl­e and equal to everyone in the school,” the 13-year-old said.

“My parents are my inspiratio­n and they have always supported me.”

Head teacher, Rishi Chand said giving leadership roles at a young age helped students become good leaders in the future.

“This is the time when we are trying to mold them into becoming good leaders and my expectatio­n from them is to learn the basic leadership skills which will help them become good leaders,” he said.

The school has about 1,700 students.
