We in SODELPA are ready to be your government, to listen to you and to bring Fiji back to economic prosperity for all. Christianity has been the beacon of light in our Nationhood since the Deed of Cession in 1874. It has provided sense of stability and humanity in times of crisis when Fiji seeks comfort in its time of distress. SODELPA recognises the importance of Christianity in our national governance and intends to restore Christianity faith as the guiding governing principles in its government leadership.
SODELPA believe that Education is the essential ingredient of national economic development and SODELPA is determined to provide free access to our people to the highest level available to them.
SODELPA recognises the importance of the Living Wage and it will be the priority of any caring leadership and SODELPA government promises to provide $5 /hour to every hourly paid worker which includes housemaids, security guards, cashiers, gardeners, casual workers etc.
SODELPA recognises the shortterm contract that was forced on many employees in the public and private sector during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
It has put insurmountable stress to our people who were put into these forms of work contract under the consequences of the “Act of God” clause.
SODELPA government promises to provide $5 /hour to every hourly paid worker which includes housemaids, security guards, cashiers, gardeners, casual workers etc.
SODELPA will reverse this work arrangement imposed on our people and restore the normal work arrangement before the imposition of the short-term contract. SODELPA cares for the well-being of our workers and fully understand their current predicament that will be corrected as it comes into government.
Shelter is a basic necessity for any family and a caring government should prioritised housing for its citizens. SODELPA will provide adequate resources for affordable housing that builds a strong family unit that beneficially creates a stronger Fijian nation.
Elderly citizens in the population is the indication of increased life expectancy and blessings in our homes. SODELPA will provide adequate resources and assistance to our senior citizens that befits the honour and respect that our elderly deserves for their sacrifice in our nation-state building.
Every girl deserves equal opportunity that is available and SODELPA will provide assistance and resources to our women to achieve their dream career to their likings.
SODELPA recognises the threats exposed to our vulnerable groups at all times due to their religion, gender, ethnicity, beliefs and life choices. SODELPA will provide law reforms to adequately provide legal protection to these vulnerable group from violence, intimidation, threat and bullies.
