LEAWERE CALLS FOR SERUA MEETING

- -SEREANA SALALO

With the hope of reviving the

Serua Netball Association, Miliakere Leawere is putting out an open invitation to a meeting at the Galoa Hall this Saturday at 2pm. “We had done our reach out in 2020 but unfortunately the global pandemic COVID-19 intercepted and had put things on hold,” Leawere said.

“We did outreach work right up to Navutulevu villages where we also identified focal points,” she said. “This is like a follow up and to set the course for the next phase in our hope to revive netball.

“Netball is not new as there used to be a Pacific Harbour Netball competition which nurtured a handful of national reps, we hope to exploit more.”

Former national netball captains Vilimaina Davu and Matila Waqanidrola are from Serua.
