NEW BOAT TO ASSIST YOUTH CLUB’S LIVELIHOOD
MINISTER SAYS GOVERNMENT HAD BEEN IMPLEMENTING INNOVATIVE WAYS TO COMBAT THE PANDEMIC.
‘We all know the youth of Taro Youth Club embark out into the sea as their livelihood depends on it for travel. We all want their experience to be positive, happy, and above all, safe.’
Members of Taro Youth Club RECEIvED A 19-FOOt fiBREglass boat and engine from the Ministry of Youth and Sports yesterday.
Minister for Youth and Sports, Parveen Bala, while speaking at the handover ceremony held at Taro village in Bau-Tailevu, said that the handover of this boat represented the continued commitment of Government to all Fijians, especially the youth, women, and children.
“Today’s handover highlights the mutual alignment of the goals and priorities of our Government,” Mr Bala said.
“We all know the youth of Taro Youth Club embark out into the sea as their livelihood depends on it for travel. We all want their experience to be positive, happy, and above all, safe.”
He highlighted that Government assistance was not short-term, adding that they had been implementing innovative ways to combat the pandemic.
The 35-member youth club also received an additional handover of farm implements.
Present at the handover was the Turaga na Vunivalu Na Tui Bau, Ratu Epenisa Cakobau.
