CONSTRUCTION COUNCIL ANNUAL CONFERENCE SET FOR SEPTEMBER

Warwick Fiji will be home of the Construction Industry Council’s annual conference this year.

Set for September 8-10, it marks the third annual conference for the council.

The COVID-19 pandemic prompted the cancellation of the council’s 2020 conference at Pullman, Nadi.

“The importance of this conference following two years of the pandemic takes on a special significance as we begin to recover,” council president, Gordon Jenkins, said.

Staffing, education, an updated building code, supply chain delays, and plans from a recently elected Government to share with delegates, are just some sampling of presentations being considered, he said.

A trade show will also be held on new materials and new techniques that reflect the growing importance of the environment, and with 350 delegates, it should attract major players as exhibitors, Mr Jenkins said.

Construction Industry Council
