SITUATION: A trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the southern and eastern parts of the country. Associated cloud and showers is expected to affect the southern and eastern parts of the group till tomorrow.

FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TONIGHT FOR THE FIJI GROUP: Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti group. Isolated heavy falls likely. Fine apart from brief isolated showers over Navua, Suva, Nausori and Tailevu, Serua, Namosi, Naitasiri, southern parts of Cakaudrove and Bua provinces. Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers. Isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms likely. Moderate east to southeast winds. Moderate seas.

OUTLOOK FOR SATURDAY: Showers easing over the Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti group. Fine apart from brief isolated showers over the greater Suva, Nausori and Tailevu, Serua, Namosi, Naitasiri, southern parts of Cakaudrove and Bua Province. Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers. Isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms likely.
