SUGARCANE CRUSHING DATES ANNOUNCED

New dates have been announced for the sugarcane crushing season.

According to the Sugar Industry Tribunal, crushing will commence at:

Lautoka mill, on June 16, Rarawai mill, on June 21, and Labasa mill, on June 8.

Growers in the relevant mill areas should begin harvesting and delivery of cane on the following date:

Lautoka Mill – June 15.

Rarawai Mill -June 20, and Labasa Mill - June 7.

The tribunal will announce in September the expected date of termination of crush at each of the three mills.
