Apastor’s daughter couldn’t believe it when she was inducted Tabia Sanatan Dharm Primary School head girl.

Teresa Timion, originally from Koroinasolo Village in Bua, resides at Tabia, Labasa, is the only child in her family. She thanked God and teachers for this opportunity.

“I always wanted to lead, either a gathering or in school because I have often been inspired by my father leading the church,” the 13-year-old said.

“Being a leader requires great patience, understanding and I believe I have all these qualities.”

Aspiring to become an accountant,

Teresa said she was thankful to her parents who were supportive towards her education and dream.

Head boy Ayush Chand, 13, who also resides in Tabia, is also the only child in his family.

“I am proud to be head boy of the school and my parents always hoped I would take this leadership role,” he said.

“My father works as a digger operator while my mother is a sales rep in Labasa Town.”

Eyeing a career as an engineer like his uncle, Ayush said he would work together with 36 prefects, 19 teachers and 350 students from preschool to Year Eight with diligence.
