Shreedhar Maharaj College rugby league Under-17 side will need get their act together, and display more confidence in their future matches in the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League weekly competition.

This was after they lost 10-0 to Assemblies of God High School at St Marcelline Primary School grounds, Vatuwaqa last Saturday.

Team manager Kaiava Waqanisau hopes his side will improve and lift their performance each week.

SMC has been participating in the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League competition four years now.

“Most of them has been playing in the Under-15 and Under-17 grades,” Waqanisau said.

“Even though the school was founded by an Indian gentleman it is now attended by a good number of iTaukei students, from Rewa and Tailevu,” he said.

“It’s early in the season but I think they played well. The boys were not confident from the start, there are some weaknesses that we need to improve on.

“We also have Queen Victoria School in this pool, we need to improve come next Saturday,” he added.
