Set-piece contest will be the highlight of this Saturday’s Pacific showdown. The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua are licking their wounds following their loss to Hurricanes, they face Moana Pasifika at the Combank Stadium in Sydney.

Scrums, line-outs, rucks and mauls will be the Swire Shipping Drua side’s weapon in this must win match.

So far, the Drua is one of the most successful strike rates in the Super Rugby Pacific with 94.8 per cent behind the Hurricanes’ 95.2 per cent.

Winning 74 scrums and losing four during the Super Rugby Pacific competition.

Our line-outs is 86 per cent but still a working progress when big teams pressure us.

Our work at the breakdown is relentless with 90 per cent turnovers; we dominated the Hurricanes in our mauls with a 100 per cent execution.

On the other hand Moana Pasifika came off a close game against the Waratahs last weekend.

Their scrummaging was at 75 per cent that equals Drua’s stats against the Highlanders.

83 per cent in their line-outs, winning 15 out of 18 throws.

They won 96 per cent of their rucks and 75 per cent of their mauls.

On paper both teams look sharp and good to set a mouthwatering match.

Stats reveal both teams will have to work extra hard in executing their set-pieces.

Smart play and good decision making will be the key for Mick Bryne’s men.

Let’s forget the past mismatch and embrace for classy Fijian victory against Moana.

It’s time the boys take ownership of the team and their various positions.

Keep the possession and play more territorial game.

Get in their half and make good use of our set pieces.

Scrums in oppositions half will create points from penalty and ob

viously tries.

Our jumpers will maneuver our forward pack when it comes to lineout and mauls.

Watch our boys go ruthless in physicality in both attacks and defense.

Their learning from last week’s game will surely be to their advan

tage.

Drua need to take the positives and play with purpose.

Drua will take on Moana Pasifika this Saturday at Commbank Stadium, Sydney at 4:35pm.
