SuperW winners To Meet And Greet Fans

SuperW champions Rooster Fijiana Drua will be introduced at Churchill Park on May 28 as part of celebrations before the second last round of the Super Rugby Pacific 2022.

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua are hosting the Chiefs in round 15 of the series.

Drua chief executive officer Brian Thorburn says: “I’m very proud to share that our champion Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua team will also be around at the match. We’ll introduce them at Churchill Park, and fans will also have the chance to meet the team, get autographs and photos.

“This is a just one of several celebrations planned for the Fijiana Drua following their amazing Super W victory. We know it will be short break for them before they regroup to prepare for an even bigger challenge ahead – the World Cup in New Zealand.”

As of Tuesday close to 3000 tickets have been sold or allocated for the epic clash.

The Drua yesterday also confirmed a Vodafone Vanua clash between Lautoka and Yasawa as curtain raiser.

“With a capacity of 11,000, this leaves only around 8000-odd tickets left for sale. A big vinaka to our fans who will enjoy an amazing match and atmosphere at Lautoka’s first Super Rugby Pacific match,” he said.

“Given how fast sales are going, we encourage everyone to get their tickets early, as we don’t think there will be too many left for sale at the gates on matchday.”

All $145 tickets for the match have been sold or allocated already.

“We’ll open gates early to ensure fans are able to come in to enjoy the LautokaYasawa clash, then celebrate the Fijiana Drua and their achievements together before kick-off of the final regular season match of the Drua and Chiefs.

“The equation for the big match is pretty straight forward – the Chiefs will be playing to secure a home quarter-final while we’ll be playing for our home fans, period.”
