- Edited by Selita Rabuku

Fiji College of General Practitioners (FCGP) has lodged a complaint against a person claiming to be a doctor.

Nafis Ali of Tavua is operating his business in Labasa Town under the name, Ali Hijama and Cupping Massage Therapy Centre.

He claimed to be using natural methods to cure diseases.

“I learnt this in New Delhi, India in 2019. I was sick and was cured through this method,” he said.

Meanwhile, FCGP president Doctor Ram Raju lodged a report at the Tavua Police Station and Labasa Police Station on Wednesday on the ‘fake’ doctor.

“We have received confirmation from Fiji Medical and Dental Council that there’s no one by that name registered,” Dr Raju said.

When contacted the Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro she said she would check and respond later.
