Delta Tigers eye Fiji FACT title

Rewa football coach Rodicks Singh is optimistic that they have what it takes to win the Digicel Fiji FACT 2022.

Rewa are in Pool A along with Nadi, Lautoka, Navua and Labasa.

He indicated that they are placed in a tough pool with the two Western giants Lautoka and Nadi.

“Our preparatio­ns for Fiji FACT has been going well,” he said.

“We have been preparing well for the past one week.

“The boys are full of excitement and eagerness as they will be playing in a tournament after a long time.

“The pool is a challengin­g pool, we expect a good competitio­n in pool games and come Fiji FACT the boys are aware of the challenges and I guess we have what it takes to win,” Singh added.

Meanwhile, defending champions, Suva are in pool B with host Nadroga, Tailevu/Naitasiri, Ba and Nasinu.

The tournament will be played over three weekends this year with the first round at the ANZ Stadium, Suva, on May 22 before heading to Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, from May 26-29.

The semi-finals and final will be held at Lawaqa Park on June 4-5 and it will also run simultaneo­usly with the RC Manubhai / APCO Coatings veterans’ tournament.

The 2022 Fiji FACT winner will walk away with $17,000, runner-up $5,000, and the losing semi-finalists with have $2,000 each.
