Talks for warm-up games for Fijiana XVs
Talks are going on for the Rooster Chicken Fijiana XVs to play a number of New Zealand clubs before the Women’s Rugby World Cup gets underway on from October 8 to November 12.
This was confirmed yesterday by Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor indicating that it was important for the Fijiana XVs to play New Zealand clubs as part of their preparations.
He said the Fijiana Drua players are resting this week before they start their World Cup preparations from next week.
In an earlier interview head coach Senirusi Seruvakula said he would name his training squad before holding a fitness test next Friday.
O’Connor said they are finalising the dates of the Oceania Championship, which probably be in June and followed by the Canada Test match.
The Fijiana XVs played as the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua that won the Super W title after maintaining an unbeaten record.
