Drua-Chiefs tickets Bread price

-

Dinesh Kumar,

After the Drua-Highlanders clash in Suva on April 30, all the Drua fans are eagerly looking forward to the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua versus Gallagher Chiefs match at Churchill Park in Lautoka scheduled for May 28. Many of the western fans were unable to see their heroes in action in Suva last month. Therefore, this second Super Rugby match on home soil will be very special for us.

Since the Super Rugby matches had been brought to Fiji for all the rugby lovers, the ticket prices should be made affordable. Considering

the fact that the people in the west are struggling to make the ends meet, lowering ticket prices would mean that more fans will enjoy the game.

In my opinion, ticket prices ranging from $20 for the grass embankment to $95 for the wooden pavilions is a bit high. But I may be wrong since the $145 tickets for the concrete grandstand have been fully sold out a fortnight prior to the clash. All the best to the Fijian Drua in their preparations. Do not take the Chiefs lightly.

Wise Muavono, Lautoka

Bread has been part of the human diet for thirty thousand years. Now it won’t be for some of us as it is unaffordable due to the recent price increase. I will soon resort to eating leaves whilst imagining it’s sliced bread.

14 May Sachida Rao, Nausori

14th May reminds me of two events in the Fijian history. Firstly Girmitiyas arrived on this day that brought up the sugar industry while coup culture also arrived on this same day that almost killed the booming industry.
