The opening of a second outlet for the family business Colour Perfect Paints is the main reason Payal Nand left her previous employment at Punjas as the Quality Control Officer.

The 27-year-old is the company’s Business Development Manager at their Lautoka branch along Ravouvou Street.

On May 6, they opened their Tavua branch along Goldfield Road.

“At the Tavua branch, we will be looking forward to selling quality paints but at affordable prices. So, we’ll have to promote it along with the other products. If customers do need something else, we can always just have it transferred from Lautoka and have it sent from here,” Ms Nand.

The former Natabua High School student is a graduate of the University of Fiji with a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Biology and Chemistry.

She said her parents allowed her and her younger sibling to carry out small tasks such as stock-keeping so they could get hands-on experience with the business.

“My sister is 19 years old and she is at USP right now studying accounting, she will hopefully take on more tasks as she gets older but at the moment we are just helping our parents out since they are managing the new Tavua branch,” she said.

Colour Perfect Paints business owner Bramha Nand said the new branch was taking the business’s services to the doorsteps of their

customers within that specific locality.

The Colour Perfect Paints Tavua branch opening hours will be from 8 am -5 pm on Monday to Friday and 8 am -1pm on Saturdays.
