The event was resumed by Mr Prasad, NFP general secretary Seini Nabou and People’s Alliance co-founder Ajay Bhai Amrit.

People’s Alliance party leader Sitiveni Rabuka did not turn up for the joint National Federation Party (NFP) talanoa session that was hosted at the Sai Hall in Sigatoka yesterday.

A notice on the talanoa session was shared on their Facebook page stating that both party leaders Mr Rabuka and NFP’s Biman Prasad would be at the event.

Fiji Sun observed that around 40 people turned up to hear what the party leaders had to say.

However, Mr Rabuka was nowhere to be seen and those present were told Mr Rabuka would be arriving soon, or he was on his way.

There had been a delay to the event but was resumed by Mr Prasad, NFP general secretary Seini Nabou and People’s Alliance co-founder Ajay Bhai Amrit.

Meanwhile, Mr Prasad in his address attacked the Government where he talked about Fiji’s poverty level, high cost of living and unemployment are at an all-time high and poor condition of hospitals and Fiji’s debt.

He also attacked the Fiji Sun and FBC.

NFP waits for writ

NFP general secretary Ms Nabou revealed that they would announce their first batch of provisional candidates when the election writ was announced.

“We will reveal when we are certain of the Government’s intention for the general elections,” she said.

“We are going through the process now. We have a date, but it all depends on the writ. We are ready either way,” Ms Nabou added.
