The Kamal Swamy coached All in One Builders Nadi side have beefed up their preparations for the Digicel Fiji FACT 2022 which gets underway at the ANZ Stadium, Suva, this Sunday.

Nadi are in Pool A alongside Lautoka, Navua, Labasa, and Rewa.

“It is good to be in a tough pool rather than in an easy pool and then go to the semi-final,” Nadi FA president Max Chetty said.

“It’s good to meet strong teams in our pool. We will deal with them in each game. The players and management have been working very hard and preparing well.”

He added that the sponsor has once again done a lot for them.

“We want to look after the players because we want good result.

“Theirs allowances have been increased and their training has been increased also.”

The team are doing two sessions training per day from 10am – 12pm and in the afternoon from 5pm – 7pm.

“Having the three Solomon Islanders have strengthen our team with the young players learning from them.

“Basically our focus is for the betterment of the team and at the same time we have to look at the competition level. We have to be competitive with other teams,” he said.

The side has brought in national side physio Varun Karan to assist with the strengthening and conditioning of the players.

“We have brought in Varun, to assist plus we have bought equipment with the focus to win the tournament. To gain support and faith from our fans have been long overdue.

“One thing I want to tell the public and fans is that Fiji FACT has been our favourite tournament. “We usually have a good outing in Fiji FACT.”

Nadi have won the Fiji FACT title five times in 1996, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2019, and were runners up in 2017.
