Pretend politicians

I thought that the Government goes into caretaker mode once the Prime Minister goes to see the President, prorogues Parliament and calls an election? None of that has happened yet!

We do not know when that will happen as it is all in the hands of the PM.

However, we have the coordinators of FRIEND Fiji and FWCC, who appear to make up their own rules as they go with regards to the Government going into caretaker mode. Perhaps they can tell us clearly what their real agenda is? Do they want to be politicians, or do they want to hold on to their high paying jobs while pretending to be politicians? In other words, they wish to have the best of both worlds.

In any case, when was the last time these so-called NGOs published their audited annual financial statements? I checked their websites and could not find anything there.

It would be good to know what their total revenue is, what their expenses are, how much they are paid and what ends up in the services, which they are supposed to provide.

It will be interesting to know this breakdown both in dollars and as a percentage of revenue. Or is that something that is highly confidential?

Why am I the only one, once again, asking these questions?
