Child abuse cases

-

Ronnie Chang, Nadi

What is really happening to Fiji? How good are we?

Are we really a God-fearing nation?

The above statistics are dangerously alarming. I thank the Permanent Secretary concerned for sharing these troubling statistics.

We are not as good as we think we are. Human values, respect for the vulnerable are steadily disintegrating, worryingly; sadly.

Why are so many women and children subjected to un-imaginable harm and indelible mental damage? Three thousand of our children are subjected to harmful child abuse? This is so very sad indeed.

Please, bring back the cane! It might serve as an adequate deterrent. Please do not continue to “spare the rod”.

The “darker side” of Fiji is alarmingly rearing its ugly head for us to witness. Why should this continue?
