Rewa football coach Marika Rodu believes that being put in a tough pool only means that their players have to work harder if they are to win the Digicel Fiji FACT tournament.

Speaking to Fiji FA Media, Rodu said they are looking forward to play Nadi, Lautoka, Navua and Labasa.

Their campaign starts on Sunday when they take on Labasa at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

“I think our pool is a healthy one and we like the way it is,” Rodu told Fiji FA Media.

“All teams are equally strong, will make our players work harder.”

Labasa who are placed at the bottom of

the Digicel Premier League have been facing problems in obtaining a proper training ground.

Dubbed the Babasiga Lions, they are renowned for being a tournament team.

Meanwhile, Nasinu’s coach Nathan Shivam is preparing well for their pool opener against Tailevu/Naitasiri on Sunday.

“It’s going to be a challenging match as we cannot underestimate any team because all every will come out prepared,” Shivam said.

Shivam is a strategic coach and will use his experience to organise his troops as they go out to do the impossible.

Tailevu/Naitasiri under former Rewa coach Nigel Khan have performed well during the DPL and will be out to continue their impressive run in the Fiji FACT. Tailevu/Naitasiri will bank on the services of experienced goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau, veteran defender Usaia Tadu and upcoming striker Epeli Valevou.

The grandstand ticket is $15 for adults and $8 for children Under-12 while the embankment ticket sold at $10 flat.
