Four words - reconnecting to the world. That was how Tanoa Hotel Group described its experience at the 2022 Fiji Tourism Expo. “We received some great interest from agents looking for four-star range offers from a local brand, that also had international standards,” said area general manager, Tanoa Hotel Group, Narend Kumar.

New experiences

A complete Fijian experience is what overseas buyers are looking for as part of their holiday package, Mr Kumar said.

The move marks a shift from the previous trend where international tourists preferred to relax by the resort pool.

“Guests want to understand more of local culture, as they want a better experience of Fiji’s tagline – where happiness finds you,” Mr Kumar said.

“With our unique locations around Viti Levu, there is no better way to get connected to the local Fijians.”

Tanoa Hotel Group continues to operate with the high hygienic standards it introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are experiencing pre-COVID-19 level business,” Mr Kumar said.

“We have recruited staff to ensure our service levels are on par with the increase in business.

“We forward to a better and bigger Fiji Tourism Expo 2023.

“We plan to get a bigger space to cover all our hotels during Fiji’s biggest international industry event - Fiji Tourism 2023.”

Tanoa Hotel Group has eight hotels in the South Pacific - Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.
