onitor data trends and insights in the interest of keeping abreast with sustainable practises, Fiji Hotel and Tourism Asssociation has said.
Chief executive officer, Fantasha Lockington, said made the comment during a sector session with
Twenty31 tourism consultant, Oliver Martin, at the Fijian Tourism Expo, in Nadi.
“Throughout the early stages of reopening, we kept an eye on the live dashboard data that Twenty31 set up, to support the work of the National Tourism Statistics Taskforce,” she said.
“The data was continuously evolving, validating and informing the strategies that the task force members were working towards, leading up to reopening of our borders,” Mrs Lockington said.
“Now six months into the reopening, it is our hope that we maintain this focus as an industry, to not only ensure that we maintain our current levels of popularity, but help ensure that we are continually prepared.
“The valuable data insights help us to do that.”
Twenty31, an international consulting firm based in Canada, provides technical assistance to Fiji’s Tourism Statistics Taskforce (TST).
It provides the latest tourism data trends and analytics for Fiji’s key tourism source markets.
