In the upcoming General Election, think about which party can give you stability. FijiFirst Party leader, Voreqe Bainimarama made this clear during the official opening of the party’s Nadi-based Office at Motorex Complex on Saturday.

The Prime Minister told the huge gathering of supporters to think wisely before the elections.

“Which party treats all Fijians alike?” he asked.

“Which party has given the ultimate protection to iTaukei ownership through our Constitution and given them opportunities to become cash rich?

“Which party has provided free education? Which party offered university studies to those who could not go to university before?

“Which party has reduced poverty?

“Which party has managed the economy so well that even during the pandemic crisis overseas development partners and financial organisations want to work even closer with Fiji?

“Which party has provided $500 million worth of unemployment assistance and other forms of financial benefits during the pandemic?

“Which party has expanded social welfare payments? Which party has provided the most electricity and water connection for such a short period of time?

“Which party has modernised our roads and bridges and churches in such a short period of time?”

“And which party has zero-rated VAT items on 21 everyday items?

“Which party introduced the minimum wage and extensively increased it?”

Mr Bainimarama assured them that his party would not promise anything that they would not intend to do.

“I want to tell you to please understand that FijiFirst does not and will not lie to you or will not promise you anything that it does not intend to give you,” he said.

“FijiFirst will not promise to make laws just to please a few to win votes that will lead to the undermining of our social economic stability like Rabuka is planning to do.”
