The Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services Dr James Fong yesterday launched the Infection

Prevention Control (IPC) Guideline for health workers in Fiji. The IPC guideline will provide the core components to guide and provide health care administrators with a framework to prevent and control infection transmission. Dr Fong said the guideline would also act

as a response plan to include surveillance with rapid response and containment protocols and at the same time have a minimal social and economic impact of future disease outbreaks.
