FIJI RECOGNISED AS CHINA’S MOST POPULAR DESTINATION
Fiji was recognised as the most ‘Popular Destination of the Year’ in China market at the BANGTRIP Awards 2022 ceremony on 10 November. The awards were coorganized by WITRIP – a leisure travel magazine, and Shanghai BANG – one of the largest citybased lifestyle media in China. The awards celebrate excellence in the travel and hotel industries, and winners are voted by readers of both WITRIP and Shanghai BANG, as well as a jury of travel expert committees.
In 2022, Tourism Fiji launched several very localized Chinese consumer marketing campaigns such as Open For Happiness and Find Your Bula in Fiji throughout mainland China and the global Chinese market by engaging with many renowned Chinese digital and social media partners for high-quality and localised assets and contents. The award of ‘Popular Destination of the Year’ rewards Tourism Fiji’s marketing strategy on enhancing destination brand awareness as well as driving potential travellers’ consideration for the next trip to Fiji across Greater China and global Chinese market.
