Prominent lawyer, Jon Apted, uses social media to promote local businesses across the country.

Mr Apted has over 50,000 followers online, and promotes various products and programmes for many years.

“I do not earn anything from it,” he said.

Mr Apted said his followers would try out some of the items he posted on social media.

“A lot of them have disposable income,” he said.

“I like to let people know what is out there.

His latest trip was on Sunday, April 9, at the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay.

The night was decorated with all things Morocco-themed, including food, which he said was great.

“I love coming here. The staff always treat me like a long-lost friend,” said the Munro Leys law firm partner.

The resort’s five-hour programme, Sunset Series, rakes in close to $15,000 in an event which is held every two months.

Guests enjoyed the resort’s music, dance, entertainm­ent, nt, food, and a picturesqu­e que beach setting, overlookin­g ing its lagoon and overwater ter bures.

The resort’s culinary and mixology team received ived instructio­ns from other hotels in the chosen destinaina­tion, in order to produce e an authentic Moroccan menu. nu.

The resort’s general manager, Silvano Dressino, said the Bula Bubble had promoted such activity.

It featured four countries in the past which were Goa, Ibiza, Rio and Koh Samua.

“The idea was to keep the resort open to locals and provide them with overseas experience,” he said.

Guest, David Wells, said the initiative was different from just having a Fijian experience.

It is a nice change for the West to have a theme night, Mr Wells said.
