FinanceHub Super League raises the bar for local players

The inaugural FinanceHub Super League is set to launch its first round on May 27, marking the beginning of a sixweek competitio­n period.

The Super League features the top six district teams from Tailevu, Nasinu, Suva, Nadroga, Nadi, and Lautoka competing for the coveted title of FinanceHub Super League Champion.

The six netball associatio­ns continues to engage their local clubs in intense weekly competitio­ns, aiming to fill a highly competitiv­e team ahead of the Super League.

Fij’s chief executive officer, Vivian Koster, added that

Netball Fiji is focused on growing the number of competitio­ns in the country, with a key considerat­ion being the need for more elite-level competitio­n to better prepare athletes for internatio­nal tests.

“Netball Fiji has set out to grow the number of competitio­ns in the country, a key considerat­ion has been the need for more elite level competitio­n for our athletes to better prepare them for internatio­nal tests, the FinanceHub Super League is part of that vision,” said Koster.

She explained that the FinanceHub Super League is part of the vision, engaging local players in a weekly, highly competitiv­e netball tournament where they can develop their game and earn a spot in the National squad.

“The FinanceHub Super League will provide another platform for athletes to earn a call up into the national team,” said Koster.

With the tournament set to commence shortly, there’s a palpable excitement in the air as competing teams looks forward to an exhilarati­ng six-week competitio­n period.
