Over speeding in Fiji

- Simral Shamrita Prasad

I am writing to express my concern about the issue of over speeding in Fiji. The recent increase in accidents caused by over speeding has become a matter of great concern for the citizens of Fiji.

As a responsible citizen, it is our duty to ensure the safety of ourselves as well as others on the road.

The over speeding trend is not just a violation of traffic rules but also a serious threat to human life.

It has been reported that over speeding is the primary cause of road accidents in Fiji. These accidents not only cause injuries but also result in loss of life, which is irreparable.

It is high time that we take this issue seriously and work towards finding a solution. To begin with, there should be strict enforcement of traffic laws and regulations.

The traffic police department should intensify their efforts to curb over speeding. There should be increased patrolling, and offenders should be severely penalized to set an example.

Additionally, there should be awareness campaigns on the dangers of over speeding. These campaigns should target all road users, including drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. They should focus on educating people about the importance of following traffic rules and the consequences of over speeding.

Moreover, the government should also invest in improving the infrastructure of the roads. This includes installing speed breakers, providing clear signage, and improving road conditions.

These measures will make drivers more cautious and reduce the number of accidents caused by over speeding.

In conclusion, over speeding is a serious problem in Fiji, and it requires immediate attention. We need to work together to find a solution that ensures the safety of all road users. By enforcing traffic laws, increasing awareness, and improving road infrastructure, we can reduce the number of accidents caused by over speeding and make our roads safer for everyone.
